Design studio "thoughtwood" stays true to its name since its portfolio boasts of thoughtfully designed wood based creations. Headed by Rob Davies, thoughtwood's specialty is playing with different palette of ideas and adapting them to the current design continuum.
Davies imaginative musings contravene conventions to carve a niche in the highly competitive design world and each piece resonates with individuality. My personal picks have to be the "thoughtwood coffee table" and the "thoughtwood surfboard stand/rack. 
The former is a stunning Black Walnut piece whose sculptural presence is emphasized with the sharp edges and the hint of vibrant blue in the cervices. The surfboard stand/rack on the other hand is defined by its fun vibe and was commissioned for a retail shop in Somerset.
